Pain killers have been around for many, many decades in sports. They allow you to play with what you got. Steroids give you enhanced performance.

When you can play with an injury that should be causing too much pain to play, that is enhanced performance. And just because they’ve been around for years doesn’t make it right. But the truth is, there probably wouldn’t be much of an NFL if players couldn’t use some kind of pain killers. How many of the starters can play 16 games injury free. I’m guessing about none. Its a violent game. So I see why the League has sort of a double standard.
