re: #272 Killgore Trout

That’s how long the budget goes for. They can use the money until 2014. It’s a large department and the site is a huge undertaking…

Well, then iit seem that Mr. Devaney doesn’t even know what his real budget is, or how much he is spending, or how long it will take to spend or… in the WSJ interview, he says two years, not six years until 2014…

“Earl Devaney, head of the administration’s new Recovery Act Accountability and Transparency Board”

“Mr. Devaney: My intent is to keep it as lean and mean as possible. I’m not into empire building and have never done that. The infrastructure budget is $84 million over two years, most of which will go to the IT part and the Web site, recovery.gov. That is going to be a first-of-its-kind effort, at least at the federal level. There have been some things like it at the state and local levels. Getting that up and running is something that OMB has already done. They will then hand it over to my staff.”

I wish they he would give us the same story twice.
