I agree with the sentiment that they should get what they claim to crave, but I can’t help noticing (and I’m not original in this observation) that for all their talk of loving death, their leaders are very solicitous of their own welfare.

Perhaps these folk should be thought of as hypocritical priests of a death cult; they preach it, but by golly, they don’t put on the bomb vests, do they?

No, death and killing is how they get their jollies, but they want to make sure that they’re around when it’s all said and done.
