Japan wants to see itself as the victim. To gain victim status, they deny their sins. To tell the truth would be to admit that we were right to bomb the hell out of them and they don’t want to do that.

Much condemnation today of Hiroshama and Nagasaki, all the kids know about that, but how much do they know about Nanking, Bataan, Okinawa, Burma, on and on and on? Not much I think. God bless the remaining old boys like those in the article.
