Commentators with a history of troubling statements like Pat has should not be near the major nets.

It’s not a matter of not allowing them to express their opinions - the major nets have the right, and i would posit the responsibility, not to hire people as commentators who are purposefully divisive on racial, sexual or gender lines.

You know what though? If you didn’t know Pat’s history, follow blogs about his past writings and current book, you would not know this about him. To the uninformed folks watching MSNBC, he’s just the Republican counter point. And they want to keep it that way. That’s where I so lose respect. There really are no principles.
