Not to mention that the photo claims the shadowy object is about 100’ in length. Largest known basking shark was <60’ (and measured in 1851). Greenland sharks are smaller still.

Not an expert, but why can’t that “shadow” be a wake pattern from a boat on the loch? It’s a satellite photo.

I had the same idea, despite my snark about underwater spacecraft. Do satellites detect whales underwater, as a rule? I suspect not.
