Captain Khan did something that many of those who are presently bashing his parents did not do. He gave his life for his country and its citizens, and he didn’t just talk about American values and principles, he lived and died for them. Four of my five brothers served in three branches of the military, and I can’t imagine any of them disrespecting Captain Khan or his parents. Where these fake patriots learned their version of what it means to be a U.S. patriot, I don’t know, but one thing about them has occurred to me, and its that when the rubber meets the road and its time to defend the nation, they try to weasel out of serving. Not all of them, but I suspect that quite a few who are running their mouths on social media have not served in any branch of the U.S. military.
