Supposedly, the anxiety is that gubmint doesn’t compromise or talk to each other.

Christie appears to be positioning himself as the Great Compromiser who will bring both parties together.

That’ll go over well with a GOP base that flies into a rage (see Ben’s reaction) over the very word compromise.
