I wish I could get people to stop voting for these awful people, but far too many around me watch Fox and attend churches that are either openly hostile to minorities, gays, and women or are too afraid to challenge those views. It’s actually going to be harder to fix stuff if people leave Texas.

…If young people voted at the same rate as old people, Democrats would win all competitive elections and probably quite a few that are now not competitive. This disparity is what keeps the Republican Party alive.

What the Democrats need to do is find ways to get young people to vote.

There are probably other things that can be done, but getting turnout up among young voters really should be the Democrats’ top priority.
