I hate to take the liberal position, but I don’t think a moral country should allow innocent children to starve because of the stupidity of their mothers. Make sure the money goes to feed the kids, make the parent work if possible, but keep the kids fed.

I don’t disagree. Doesn’t make it right. There should be consequences for the parents.
