“I’m not voting for Hillary Clinton because she didn’t earn my vote.”

Her job absolutely is to count votes.

All the investigations by House committees now can instantly be turned into “Impeachment enquiry” as soon as enough people in the electorate are behind impeachment.

The fact remains there is a significant portion of the electorate which is not convinced. A failed impeachment charge would be an unmitigated disaster.

Nixon was brought down by relentless coverage of the Watergate scandal, and a significant portion of the electorate above the crasification factor were still unconvinced.

I get it, we want Trump gone today. That isn’t happening; to build a case against the king you need to have an airtight case. And if you go for the king, you get one shot, and you’d better not miss.

I’m confused, because one moment I get told that we can’t move forward unless we have a case so “airtight” that it will ensure his removal, but the next I’m told that McConnell will sabotage any effort no matter how strong and so it’s useless to impeach. It rather sounds like we’re being told that no matter hard we work, the whole thing is useless because the outcome is predetermined.
