FBI was looking for him, but never contemplated checking airports to catch him before he and his ilk fled the country to a nation for which we don’t have extradition?

In other words, what’s the point of no fly lists and FBI if they can’t catch guys who are wanted for serious crimes like trying to overthrow the govt if you’re not bothering to check all of the possible means of escape from the country.

You have to show ID to get on a plane. Did no one check this against the FBI wanted lists?
