Dude, I’m secular but I want in on the tradition of Chinese food for Christmas Eve.

When I was a kid Mom would “do Italian” once a week opening a can of Chef Boyardee ravioli. She’d “do Chinese” once a week with a can of LaChoy or Chun King Chicken or Beef Chow Mein, Minute Rice and canned LaChoy/Chun King Chow Mein noodles.

Then I went to Didio’s (a famous Italian restaurant) and had their spaghetti (Which they made in house). Hey that was a lot better than Chef Boyardee. And their ravioli had ground short ribs.

Oh and on my 13th birthday I went to a real Chinese restaurant the Bamboo Tea Garden in Bellevue. Egg Foo Yung, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, Broccoli Beef. Sure wan’t La Choy!
