To be totally frank I find this entire discussion idiotic. We are debating whether this conduct should disqualify him, yet it was only 2 months ago the guy said he would not hire Muslims in his administration, and later said he might but only if they specifically passed some special loyalty test. Maybe it is just me but whether a guy ten years ago acted inappropriately is less important than the fact that he thinks he is justified in violating the civil rights of a few million Americans, and is comfortable saying so.
