I’m not saying I don’t appreciate the old New Deal policies of old. They were wonderful policies, however, Bernie always leaves out the ramptant racism that happened in those days. When his supporters complain about how the Dems have become too corporatist, they ignore that the Democratic party is perhaps the most socially liberal it’s ever been.

The Democratic party is definitely the most socially liberal it has ever been. It is also nowhere near as labor-friendly as it used to be. “Corporatist” is actually a fair charge, assuming it is not exaggerated beyond reason.

Whence all this angst from Sanders et al., which they really should have channeled more productively.
