I wasn’t a huge Kinks fan, but I caught a concert in the early 1980s and it was one of the top three concerts I’ve every seen. Fun fact that probably everyone else knows but I didn’t until I heard an interview with American announcer Dave Davies on Fresh Air: Ray and Dave’s last name is pronounced “Davis.”

And I have a colonoscopy scheduled for 7/7.

I heard those Ray interviews where he talked about the pronunciation of his last name. I’m not sure that he’s not just playing a game with the interviewers. It seems kind of funny that he’d wait until he was in his 60’s to start correcting people about it.
