lol Brian came out with it, but Seth MacFarlane (Brian and Peter are his alter egos) is so right on about this.

Actually, I think every character on the show is a piece of Seth’s ego, but that’s just my characterization.

Brian pretty much is Seth. Right down to the voice. Peter’s more of every fat New England loud mouth.
