Obama’s diplomacy works so well - after he said the Israelis and Palestinians would start talks without preconditions,
Abbas:

Palestinians cannot return to peace talks at this time

The Palestinians cannot return to peace talks at this time because of “fundamental disagreements” with Israel on what should be on the agenda, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said in an interview published Thursday, rebuffing an appeal by US President Barack Obama that both sides get back to the table promptly.

No sh*t. The fundamental disagreement is, Israel wants to continue to exist as a Jewish state, and the Palestinians want to make it another Muslim Arab state.
You can’t get much more fundamental than that.

The question is, which side will Obama pressure? Or will he wash his hands of the whole thing, and tell Abbas to come back when he does want peace with Israel>
