We had him for two nights, our theatre is a small venue, seats 146 if we add a few catering chairs, and he sold out each night. It was nice, up close and personal. He’s a really nice guy, friendly, his wife is a bit of a stickler, but then again, she does all his managing and tour arrangements, so it’s probably best that one of them are the “business” person in the bunch.

We have a John Denver tribute concert tonight (boring IMHO) and then open a new play next week.

I have met a few of my super hero musician idols…could tell some stories but it is so refreshing to find someone is loose and friendly and just happy to mingle with fans on a neighborly level…John Hiatt is like that…he asks you questions too…about a car repair or a TV show or whatever…jus thinking back
