Interesting sidenote from the perfect game. Dallas Braden, the A’s pitcher who threw the perfect game, yelled at A-Rod last week because he walked on the pitcher’s mount (a big no-no on the long list of baseball’s unwritten rules, one A-Rod claims he didn’t know yet I learned in little league.) A-Rod said he didn’t want to argue about it because he didn’t want to extend Braden’s “15 minutes of fame.”

Asked about the perfect game today, A-Rod said “No more about him, please.”

After the perfect game, Braden’s grandma, attending the game on Mother’s Day, said “Let’s forget it, uh huh — and stick it, A-Rod.”
