(Me, I’d always pick Spain, ‘cause medieval Jewish history is one of my things, and Spain is just the epicenter of all kinds of cool stuff for that.)

Did you know they’ve found Christian tombstones from Spain with quotations from the Koran on them? Just, you know, making the whole family happy, and getting maximum piety on the marker.

My wife’s folkloric group has a whole set of Spanish Sephardic tunes. Lovely stuff.
