re: #280 Slumbering Behemoth

It’s funny.

When it’s a CEO that did a lousy job at a company, folks are all “He/She ran that company into the ground, how could he/she possibly be a good politician”.

When it’s a CEO that did a good job at a company, folks are all “Running a business isn’t anything like running a country/county/district/city, how could he/she possibly be a good politician”.

I only hope I live to see the day when Steve Jobs and Bill Gates run for the same seat. The interwebs will run red in a river of blood.

Real business people rarely go into politics, unless they are like Cheney and see a chance to change the system in favor of their holdings - which he did in many ways and made a fortune out of it.

In general, there is much more real money to be made in business. Those guys hire politicians.

That leaves the failed business guys like W. and Fiorina and Barton to go into politics for the most part.
