I disagree. Look at what happened in the Zimmerman/Martin episode, it completely derailed the subject. People spent days fighting about whether the shooter was white or Hispanic instead of whether the shooter was justified in his actions.

I don’t know what you disagree with, though. Your point is whether or not racial qualifiers should have been used at all. If you think the victims should not have been identified as black and the shooter as white, no problem. (Well, there is a problem, but of another character.)

But if someone does choose to inform about race, “white” or “white Hispanic” in relation to Zimmerman is correct.

If, however, you think that it was OK to use racial qualifiers in the news items, but only disagree with the particular term “white Hispanic”, you’re simply being incoherent.
