Yeah I think that’s the extent of what most of these types see about Buddhism. Buddha isn’t the fat guy despite popular conception.

Some family friends are Buddhist, and the wife invited Mrs. FBW to a chanting session. They were chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, and Mrs. FBW reports that after a while, what she started hearing was “I-am-now-holding-a-gun, I-am-now-holding-a-gun, I-am-now-holding-a-gun”.
