The thing is, it’s not about the religion of some particular political group. People of all political groups can have superstitious/stupid/hateful/etc ideas.

The point is that I support the right of everyone to believe whatever they like and to practice their religion in any way they see fit as long as it doesn’t impact my own freedom. But when you put your beliefs out into the open and try to convince others that you are right, start making it a litmus test for office, or codify it in new laws and education policy - then I will definitely confront that.

This isn’t about democrats vs republicans, as much as some might want to see it that way.

Get back to me when there is a LAW making a religious litmus test necessary to hold political office.

In the meantime… it’s OUTRAGEOUS OUTRAGE… it’s easier… isn’t it?
