I’m confused by the world we inhabit.

Basically, the bar is so fucking low that even people that once seemed entirely without scruples are suddenly, by comparison, reasonable.

Like, imagine one of those old dating games where you question three dates and pick one.

Except one of them is Count Orlock from Nosferatu, and he’s completely open about he’s only on a dating game to find a female victim to drain of her blood and convert her into his eternal slave.

And the second contestant is merely an MRA type wearing a ridiculous hat who’s like, “hey maybe that sexy lady doesn’t want to be a night creature reeking of grave dirt…but also hey baby do you put out on the first date because you’re not so hot you can get away with leading a guy on”

Reasonable…by comparison.
