It’s another Fox only story. After claiming the WH threatened the bondholders everyone involved denied it, then the bondholders backed down on the comments, now they have no comment.
I’m sure there was pressure to settle, but it sounds like someone exaggerated it and is now backing down. The truth will come on in the end, but until then, people will believe what suits them.

The truth probably will come out, but this could also be denial under duress.
Like in the Monty Python Piranha Brothers sketch, one victim says Dinsdale was a “smashing bloke. Used to buy his mother flowers and all that” until confronted with the picture that showed Dinsdale had indeed nailed his head to the floor.
