I really doubt the Republican establishment wants Gingrich as their nominee. I expect the long knives to come out for him tomorrow. After all their the ones who really, really know him.

I just had a frightening thought: If this tug-of-war goes on between Newt and Mitt throughout the primaries, we might wind up with a Mitt/Newt ticket (or even vice versa) at the GOP convention.

Barring any bombshells that don’t Teflon off Newt, of course…
