If you’ve set yourself up in a business to serve the public, you’ve got to serve the public. I don’t know why this is a difficult concept.

As a caveat—if these guys came in there doing their best Rip Taylor impressions and scattering feathers all about, the store owners would have had every right to throw them out on their ears, but that’s a totally separate issue.
