I just can’t understand the mental gymnastics some people are willing to go through to convince themselves that, somehow, PP is in the wrong, and CMP is in the right.

The more hilarious bit is watching the “law and order” crowd argue that lawbreaking is legal if it’s to reveal the lawbreaking of others. If you rob a bank, but in doing so reveal that the bank managers are embezzling money, then wingnuts are arguing that you should not only be able to walk away a free man, but keep the money.
