Several hundred guns types have pointed out when I said
“ALWAYS use the proper ammo, holster, and accessory equipment.”
that this isn’t an actual rule of safe gun handling.
This both amuses and appalls me, for a number of reasons.

This, regarding use of proper ammo, holsters, and accessory equipment, is a standard caution in every formal range safety instruction course, manufacturer’s course, and SHOULD be part of any properly run gun range.

Addendum:
Literally less than a minute after I posted the above thread.
“your ‘made up’ safety rules” don’t apply when you carry concealed.

I would have imagined that you would have to observe safety rules even moreso if you’re carrying concealed. Your gun being hidden doesn’t absolve you from handling with care, and in fact makes it more important, since ideally, YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THERE’S A GUN PRESENT.
