Even if the religious right nutjobs don’t keep Romney from getting the nomination, they sure as hell won’t vote for him. They’ll stay home.

Fundamentalists and evangelicals view Mormons as barely a half-step above Satanists. This has been true for a long, long time. It’s not going to change because a Mormon gets the GOP nod. Voting for Mitt would mean giving tacit approval to a religious denomination that these people consider a satanic, heretical cult. Not gonna happen.
