As I said, it could be true, but I’d need to know quite a bit more. To be clear, I think the law in NC is utterly appalling and disgusting.
That does not mean I believe everything that would fit in with this belief.

Someone could have pointed her out to the police, but she already set this up as being an unusual, scary situation because there were a bunch of people loitering-the implication as I read it is they were kind of waiting for her, or some other trans person to come in, which strikes me as a statistically unlikely proposition.

There’s nothing unusual about loitering nitwits in dead-end towns.
