What really peeves my cockles is the snide, snotty, sneering, supercilious attitude that the NYT writer takes towards people quite reasonably taking principled ethical issue with how radical Muslim men typically treat women. And I hasten to add that radical Muslims also treat homosexuals, Jews and nonMuslims in general in similarly cruel, bigotrous, and oppressive ways.

I just can’t understand how the religion card can apparently trump human and civil rights concerns when Muslims play it or others play it on their behalf, but it doesn’t fly for any other faith.
