CuriousLurker… you see, these doctrines and ideologies have been around as long as this country has, in one theological form or another. These ideologies are similar to the thoughts about religion and state that were an active part of the debate before 1776.

And guess what, the founding fathers put this document together, and this document has been added to and strengthened over the years, and it has managed to keep a relativity decent separation between the various theologies and the state. And honestly, you need to go look back in our last 200 years of history and read up on some of the many evangelical and millennial movements that we have had.

That little document has managed to sustain all attacks… I trust the Constitution and the common sense of good people.

I know you’re right, but sometimes it’s hard to keep things in perspective (especially on a political blog, which is why I’ve been mostly staying away the past few days).
