Morning Lizardim. Happy Friday from the cool and cloudy wild north country. You know, before the recent outpouring of racist vitriol that began with the Obama campaign/election, I never understood the idea behind affirmative action racial quotas. Why not just enforce rules that say you should hire/select the best candidate(s) that fit the requirements, instead of forcing racial quotas on employers and educational institutions? The reason is because the racist douchebags in charge will invent excuses to “disqualify” people who aren’t pasty white Caucasian males. I still have a bit of a chip on my shoulder about the college scholarship selection process, but I understand it a lot better now.
