Was watching C-span’s twitter feed and it was sad watching all those folks thinking that the GOP is righteous in engaging in overt extortion in trying to defund, delay, and destroy Obamacare as part of their CR, the debt ceiling talks, etc.

They think that the ones engaging in obstruction and who are threatening default are Democrats. It’s asinine. But that’s where the GOP is getting its support from.

Add to that the same folks thinking that Obamacare is communism (skipping socialism in the process) ignores the fact that Obamacare creates a health exchange where multiple insurance companies (private for profit companies listed on stock exchanges like Aetna, as well as nonprofits) offer multiple plans to people who get to choose the plans that meet their needs at rates that are affordable due to the purchasing power of having more people eligible. Government isn’t providing the insurance. Government isn’t setting the rates. Government created a new marketplace. But that’s communism in the eyes of the rabid right.
