Do wish we could have a Muslim to the Supreme Court, but Muslims have only in the past 6-10 years started getting involved in Politics.

I’m not sure there are any Muslim judges on the Circuit Court bench. Perhaps some in the State Supreme Courts (which tend to be under considered when looking at USSC seats). And I’m sure there are some in the District Courts. Not sure why that is, I had quite a few Muslim classmates in law school, so maybe it’s a generational thing? But it will likely happen, sooner rather than later.

Both of the rumored names seem like good choices by Obama. Though, I have to admit, part of me kind of wished someone like Posner or Kazenski would have been nominated. Both were Reagan appointees but tended more libertarian in their rulings over the years. Watching the GOP object to Reagan appointees being nominated would have been fun. And both are old enough that the next president would likely get a chance to appoint their replacement (which could be sold as a compromise, I suppose).
