I’m hard pressed to think of a major city like Philly that has such as antagonistic attitude towards tourists. Sure, a New Yorker will yell at you if step out in front of their car in Times Square, but they will literally forgot that incident a second later in order to direct you to the best pizza joint in the area.

My town has a lot of tourist-haters even though tourism has been part of our life for a VERY long time. The snobs would prefer to be in a dead town whose only pleasure is in appreciating their property values.
