This hits us very bad: the Jones Act already makes most products more expensive than the States. This will shoot the cost of life, without any relief anywhere else. Salaries will still be below those in the states (for example, teachers here start with around $20k in salary, and a median of around $38k).

What this will cause is greater immigration towards the US, and a death spiral for PR’s economy.
