So I’m going to end this thread on a better note.

My mom just phoned. There’s a woman on her block that goes out of her way for a few elderly folks, my mom included. She’s always bringing gifts and food. She’s taken my mom to a few doctor appointments, etc.

She’s Christian, although, not particularly religious and always remembers the Jewish holidays with something special for my mom. This year, she had a huge Easter basket for her sister and wanted to hide it in my mom’s house until the sister arrived. This morning, the woman and her sister arrived at my mom’s door and was greeted by my mother who made them each an Easter basket of their own.

Just little things in life that hardly get noticed, but create worlds of kindness between people.
