The Jefferson quote is incomplete. Jefferson was actually talking about WHITE MEN PATROLLING ON THEIR OWN PLANTATIONS.

The George Mason quote is taken out of context. Surprise, surprise, he was referring to a “well regulated militia” not to a bunch of random guys with a bunch of gunz.
