I’m always a bit appalled to see people driving to the corner store a block away from their house when a short walk would save them money and help with reducing America’s need for oil. Perhaps I’m naive to think there are a lot of small ways in which we could all use less gas/oil, but it’s not too hard to make small changes that will keep at least some money out of the pockets of our enemies.

If the response to Earth Hour is any indication, that kind of well-meaning talk will cause many to respond with something along the lines of “I will use three times as much energy from now on to spite you”. C’est le vie.
