Mike Pence must really feel like he’s in the catbird seat at this point. He is a scumbag, but he’s probably very subjectively pleased by everything going on around him.

I suspect that he and other leading Republicans have had serious backroom talks with plans in place to make Trump gone and him in the White House in short order.
