Gallup is still showing Newt ahead with Ron Paul at 3rd. They’re showing Newt, Romney and Paul with 26, 24, and 11 percentage points respectively. The PPP poll shows Paul, Romney and and Newt at 23, 20, and 14 percentage points respectively. Paul and Newt are switched in position between the two polls.

And yes I know quite a few people on the left that are confusingly supportive of Ron Paul. Essentially this is for some the reasons already stated above: conspiracy nuts; NDAA; the anti-war/military rhetoric; marijuana stance; etc. I frequently try to explain Paul’s other positions but that usually falls on deaf ears.

It’s unfortunate but a lot of people on the left are still drawn towards 9/11 conspiracy theories. They still believe or are leaning towards the BS theories about building 7 or that the Pentagon was not hit by a 757 but a missile instead.
