Yes, the previous four years were bad enough, I didn’t want another four.
And make arguments that Kerry had done something wrong, so the issue was genuine and something he had to address in order to make it go away? And the fact that it didn’t go away was proof that he didn’t do enough?
I would not have argued that Kerry did anything wrong. That was not the issue with swiftboating (As a reminder, the swiftboating campaign accused him of accepting decorations he did not deserve).
However, the fact that it did not go away IS Kerry’s fault. I don’t care how bullshit the issue/scandal/whatever it is. If you’re the candidate, it is YOUR job to deal with it.
