The market jumped yesterday on some good news about real estate and construction, and so far the futures are pointing up for this morning.

Oil is up to $60 a barrel.

Look for a whole bunch of car dealerships to declare bankruptcy. These closed dealerships are being forced to eat the inventory that was shipped to them and is sitting on the lot. For your larger dealers this is a matter of millions of dollars.

Lots of vacant car dealerships won’t do much good for the commercial real estate market, or property tax revenue.
