Your use of the term “feminists” as a blanket category is what is causing you trouble here. Which feminists? I suspect if you drill down to the particulars, you might find some room for agreement. There are undoubtedly particular self-labeled feminists who are really just sexists. But, and this is important, if you just tar the whole group then you may just as well have made a sexist statement yourself, for what reaction it will get you.

Yes, that is why I do not use the word “feminists” on its own. I used it in that quote and noted that this was Straus’s usage.
