two big differences between reagan and perry

1. perry is selling exactly the same line of palaver that reagan did 30 years ago - gummint is the problem, low taxes and no regulations will grow the economy, etc, etc. 30 years ago this message was fresh and plausible. now it’s old and tired and only wingnuts believe it

2. reagan was smoooove. he was positive, humorous, and teevee ready. remember that marshal mcluhan pointed out that teevee is a ‘cool’, not a ‘hot’ medium. perry is emotional, riled up, and ‘hot’
