The fire I was thinking of was of the Torch Skyscraper that happened in February.

Fires aren’t supposed to just easily zip up the side of a building like that. That’s the classic sign of a strong chimney effect at play, and it means the fire found an uninterrupted vertical space to vent, one containing flammable materials and poor firewalls, allowing fire to spread. That’s why stairwells have fire doors and elevator shafts are supposed to be void of virtually anything that can burn.

It would be interesting to see the curtain wall fire codes for that country?
